Bidrage med feedbackMy family of 4 ordered the steamed beef dumplings, scallion pancake, and two bowls of shanxi shaved noodle soup. My kiddos devoured the dumplings and pancake as it tastes exactly like grandma makes them. The noodle soup was nice and hot, BUT, I do wish they gave me one or two more scoops of pickled vegetables and that it came in bigger chunks. The veggies are my favorite part of the soup and I felt like I had to dig through my soup to find small pieces. Overall really good though!
Got the braised egg and pork, chicken and mushroom noodle soup, and Taiwanese tomato beef brisket noodle soup. 1. Braised egg and pork I liked how the pork was tender. Loved the depth of flavor. Chicken and mushroom noodle soup 2. Loved how many mushrooms were in it! The noodles were nice and chewy. The broth was a little bland, but there's condiments on the table to make it taste better (of which I didn't use but wish I did) 3. Taiwanese tomato beef brisket noodle soup take advantage of the condiments on the table
We ordered house fried rice, Lanzhou noodle soup, pan fried dumplings, and steam beef dumplings. The waitress provided proper utensils. Water was provided right away. Although, it was a slow service, we had a great time. The dumplings are a must try! Loved that soy sauce and vinegar was offered as the dipping sauce! The beef in the noodle soup was good. It was thinly sliced and flavorful.
I ordered 7 items, every item was different and mostly noodle dishes. I'm not knocking this restaurant for the 3 stars and if I could I would score it 3.5 stars. This restaurant isn't bad, it's just not my style of Chinese food or noodle dishes. Noodles were great, broth was good but every noodle dish I purchased seem to be the same soup base.. 6.5/10 Dumplings. The internal meats were great and the shell was decent. 6.5/10 Beef cumin bun. Best item I bought and I knew it was going to be great. 8.5/10 Steam dumplings. Very well made and really enjoyed it. 8.5/10
The food was alright. My favorite was the woodear mushroom appetizer. The cucumber was also very good. The Taiwanese tomato beef noodle soup was ok, in my opinion. More than half the beef in my soup was cartilage/non-edible hard pieces, so to me that was disappointing. The service was kind if frustrating. Our waitress had 3 tables (including ours) but was too busy hanging out/ speaking to one of the tables and it took a VERY long time for her to come take our order. Most likely would not be interested in returning here.
