Bidrage med feedbackTucked in the Lowery building (that I think is pretty vacant) in DT St Paul. Neat little lunch spot. Had a turkey/swiss on bread baked on site! (Whole)Sandwich was big! Toppings seemed fresh. A little on the high side in price but for the amount of food you received...it was inline. Pizza by the slice was available and I was there later in the lunch rush! (2PM) Lady who made the sandwich was nice! I'll be back to try the pizza next.
I(USED)to love this place! The staff USED to be absolutely wonderful people. I just went back the other day to take my boyfriend to try this food I've been raving about. I walked in and immediately saw a dirty, not even half stocked cooler and some pizza that looked like it had been under the heat about a week too long. I was actually embarrassed by how much i had talked it up to seeing.....This. I asked casually about the former employees and was fed a story that true or not , should not be told to customers. We decided to be brave, because in truth, i have seen food that looked kind of unappetizing and turned out pretty good. This was not one of those cases. I honestly think they put sauce on a cardboard box from the back room, added toppings and sent it through the oven. GROSS!! All I'm going to say about the cleanliness was that sweeping the dirt and food into a pile UNDER THE REGISTER, and just leaving it even though we were the only customers in there, looks tacky and just eww! Lars needs to open his eyes and look at what is becoming of this once nice, hopping little pizza cafe` with excellent food. I hope something changes and the ambiance and cheerfulness returns with the quality food.
Beyond terrible! Like the previous 1 star review, they managed to screw up my order. Ordered a cold cut combo and was given a club. They stated there was mayo and spicy brown mustard on the sandwich. There clearly wasn't any at all. The sandwich was extremely dry and flavorless. You are better off attempting to eat cardboard. I wouldn't go back to Aromas even if the meal was free.
Older woman with blonde hair has been making sandwiches at this place for the past few months. I think she 's a new owner because the usual ladies are not around. Been going there for years, but not anymore. Woman wrote down order and still managed to screw it up. In addition, prices went up and food portions are a lot less. Wait period took 23 minutes and the place was empty; no customers. The wait used to be less than 10 minutes. I changed my review to a negative review on Facebook and the blonde woman replied back to my post by saying, You didn 't wait 23 minutes. I did tell you that it takes 5 minutes to toast each sandwich. I recall you ordered the club sandwich dry with onions and the other order was dry with no onions. Owner didn 't just apologize for making the order wrong and the long wait, but instead chose to argue with me! She deleted her comment after realizing how stupid she made herself look. I wear a watch and I know for a fact the exact time I placed my order and when it was received. I always get my usual. I don 't recommend this place due to how this woman handled the situation.
I came in for the first time yesterday after hearing such good things about the food service.. well, i ordered a whole blt and broccoli salad/pasta whatever you want to call it and something in both tasted off..i ended up not eating either after getting back to my office and trying both.. definitely disappointed!
