Had a family meal here last week and have to say was superb. Quality of food was excellent as were the portion sizes, the service also on point with a very good selection of wines. After visiting the Cornish Arms earlier in the week would highly recommend this place as far better value and quality. Try for yourself you will not be disappointed. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I have to echo a previous review, the lobster, prawn and crayfish risotto is one of the best dishes I’ve had. The lobster was so perfectly cooked it was amazing. We arrived in St Merryn really late and we’re looking for somewhere to grab anything. We went in and the kitchen had just closed but Lauren I think said if we ordered straightaway she’d see what she could do. Between us we had 2 risottos, hake or sole ? and pasta. We left 3 bone dry plates and only didn’t finish the pasta because it was such a generous portion. We all then had chocolate and caramel tarts. Again, so yummy!!! By the time we’d finished it was closing time and Lauren said good night and we finished up with the owner Tim? . He was as friendly and nice as Lauren.
