Bidrage med feedbackSmall restaurant with homemade quiche, open only for lunch. The food is really really good. Prices are ok: 10 euro for the dish. Service, quite long, can be improved.
The quiches are fabulous. Great varieties. The owner/manager is a wonderful person. Full of good spirit and friendliness. We ate here multiple times over a two week stay.
Thirty plus years and counting, this homage to Americana is an interesting hybrid. There is Zydeco and Blues music in the background, U.S. License Plates and brand memorabilia plastered all over the walls, American soft drinks offered right along with the wine, and a menu of Tartes and Pies that may be inspired by our Southern cooking, but you are unlikely to find anywhere in Mississippi, Tennessee or Louisiana. The main courses are what we would call Quiche, and are served with a generous helping of both dressed lettuce and cole slaw. The recipes are an inventive blend of ingredients, and our Vegetable Pie was quite tasty. Needing a break from too many Crepes and extensive/ multiple course lunches, this was a good alternative to the more typical Croque Monsieur or Tartiines offered in most brasseries, cafes and other than formal restaurants. The restaurant attracts plenty of twenty somethings and some tourists. Good value and good fun, and happy to know some of the French still like us, even for our food! Service is cheerful and quick, and the dishes are far healthier than standard fast food.
Small restaurant offering salted and sweet homemade pies with salad and coleslaw. Typical U.S. Food, with a decor plunging us into a very friendly retro American atmosphere. The staff is very attentive. My favorite pies: Baby Shower (chili con carne) and Ribs Warning: Open only at noon
In fact, I don't have words to write this friendly moment that we spent in this hot place full of habits, I invite friendly tourists to discover it. Thank you again for this moment that warmed our rainy day!
