Bidrage med feedback5 starts!!!! We have to stop every visit to St. Louis. Great food and they treat you like family. We found them first through a food tour on the hill and had to go back when it was over. We bought one of them, but it was sooooo worth it. I love this place.
These cookies were awful dry and crumbly for $17 a pound, frankly I expected better and was more than a bit disappointed.
I am somewhat late in my assessment as well as biased...I am a Vitale descendant and so therefore cannot be trusted to not be partial. However, if it was terrible, I would be honest...fortunately for us all, this is not the case here. I received a box of assorted Vitale cookies from my long time friend, Patricia Viviano, for Christmas while residing in New Orleans 2016-2017. Yes. That is a long time to wait to craft a review. I did feel it my duty to say how pleased I was for the gift. I was not fortunate enough to have grown up with my Sicilian family and missed out on so many wonderful things. Every chance I get to connect with my heritage, either through food or meeting relatives, is something I treasure. May Vitale's always be on the Hill and always remember our people who have gone before us down to the sea and beyond. Thank you for continuing.
First time in and wanted to try a cannoli and left with like 5 other things. They have amazing gooey butter cookies. Cannoli is great and they sell some other stuff too like sauces and breads. The staff was friendly. Overall I am impressed and will definitely go back
Vitale's Bakery is my go to spot for the holidays (and any other special occasion I can make up in my head) since moving from New York. Love love love their Rainbow cookies, cannolis and sfogliatella! I'd never had sfogliatella with pastry cream before Vitale's and ooof it is so good. Oh! And their sesame cookies are delish! And the bread closest to the crusty NY bread I've found in MO. I highly recommend anything at Vitale's!
