Bidrage med feedbackIf you 're looking for genuine home cooking, in the traditional French lunchtime manner, then this family owned and run, unpretentious Limousine Restaurant is for you. Run by a young husband and wife team, it 's a stunner but you do need to understand how this...sort of establishment is (traditionally) run and it 's a lunchtime venue really and is not normally even open in the evenings though le Patron Olivier is now restarting selected 'Special ' evenings too.....but back to lunch...so how about the following: Homemade soup, followed by a self service choice of hors d 'œuvres, followed by Main course, usually choice of two, all home cooked, then a generous cheeseboard left at the table, choice of 2/3 sweets, followed by coffee, including wine and bread......at the time of writing for €12.50. Add to the mix truly personal Service (excellent English spoken) and it 's a total Winner. This place is essentially French, with a mix of working people, tourists, and families. Just fabulous.
Just a little off the beaten track in Gorre is this little hidden gem of a restaurant. We arrived just before 1pm and the waiter fitted us in without a reservation. It was busy yet the waiter made us feel very welcome (our dogs too! ...The menu we were offered was the fixe prix lunchtime menu and we also had an aperitif of Prosecco to start. Food was of typical French style. Simple, homely and tasty. This isn’t 5 star dining but if you want traditional food in a lovely setting and simplicity then go here! Service was excellent, waiter made us laugh and despite being busy certainly made time for every table. A great way to spend a lunchtime. Highly recommended.
We had a lovely lunch out the front of the restaurant. Fresh local food, good service and the chef made an effort to accommodate my daughter’s food intolerances. I loved the starter of cucumber cheesecake with smoked salmon and lemon, beautifully delicate. My main course...of lamb tagline was more than ample and again tasted fresh and the meat was very tender. We struggled to fit in a pudding but my son’s apricot tart was delicious. I would definitely visit again.

We've already eaten here and that was good. this time we arrived at 12.30 a.m., there were already about 10 tables. the servant has found us a table and left us with the drinks and lunch menus. despite his return to the room to serve others, he left us 25 minutes without asking if we want a drink. we're on the way, and he comes back and says, "You haven't reserved yourself." we didn't even know what the record was.
