Bidrage med feedbackWe have seen this place every time we go to St Junien (about once a week! and decided that tonight was the night we would try it out. What a pity we didn’t go sooner as the pizza was amazing. The staff were friendly and the restaurant has a lovely relaxed feel about it. We will certainly return.
I visited La Trattoria in early September with my husband, 11 month old daughter and in laws. We were en route to a holiday rental in Montemboeuf and decided to stop in the lovely town of Saint Junien for lunch. Not very many places were open, so we turned to trusty Trip Advisor and my husband found La Trattoria. After a little bit of wandering the streets my Father in Law eventually found it and we were glad to see it was open as we were all very hungry! Upon entering we were greeted by a friendly French couple (I 'm guessing they were the owners) and shown to a table by the window. It was a very hot day and sadly there was no air conditioning on! We were given menus in French and English and ordered drinks. I simply opted for an Orangina which was lovely and refreshing. We ordered a bottle of Vittel water to fill up our daughter 's bottle, which had a date of May 2017 on it. We weren 't sure if this was a use by date so my husband asked to change it. The waitress was really lovely and gave us a different brand. The menu is very large at La Trattoria, offering 29 different pizzas! Originally I ordered a 'Gorgonzola ' (Tomato, potato, Gorgonzola, cream, grated cheese) but sadly the waitress came back to tell me they didn 't have any Gorgonzola. I had another look at the menu and decided to have '3 Fromages ' (Tomato, goats cheese, Reblochon cheese, cream, grated cheese) and they asked me if I still wanted potato on it too! Mmm, it was delicious. It hadn 't been in the oven for very long, but to be honest that 's how I like my pizzas! I loved potato as a topping too not something you usually see. My husband ordered 'Vesuvio ' (Tomato, ham, chorizo, bell pepper, onion, grated cheese) He thought it was really good. My in laws shared a 'Briola ' (Tomato, ham, mushrooms, chorizo, egg, grated cheese) They both really enjoyed their pizza too. Overall I 'm really pleased we found La Trattoria. It 's not a fancy restaurant they have paper advertisement placemats and the TV on (which was showing music videos the day we visited at a reasonably low volume), but they certainly know how to cook a great pizza! Our pizzas were huge, hot and delivered to our table quickly. The staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant was really clean. Recommended.
After a wander around Saint Junien, stumbled across this great Pizzeria. Great food and friendly staff! Will definitely revisit when next in the area! Merci Beaucoup!!
Was a good evening, we didnt mind the Rugby on the TV, quite an informal setting, good service, will go again
Visited this superb family run pizzeria in the small town of Saint Junien, near Limoges. On our arrival we were warmly welcomed by the owner and she took us immediately to a table. Minutes afterwards she gave us a menu and took our drinks order. They had a kids menu which was perfect and there was no complaints from our kids. The pizzas were made fresh at front of house and the children enjoyed watching the husband making the pizzas and using the pizza oven. We didn't have to wait very long and also enjoyed a house carafe. Wonderful meal, great ambience made to feel very welcome. Would thoroughly recommend.
