San Jose Steakhouse And Mexican Grill

I hadn't been in almost 9 years. The steak sandwich was still good the owner was still present as always greeting customers! It's a great place to take your family friends for a quality meal!

The food was excellent, featuring a diverse range of options in both traditional American and Mexican cuisine. The service was also outstanding.

This restaurant is not worth your time. If you have other options, I suggest you go elsewhere. My server, who was also the bartender, approached me the moment I sat down to ask if I was ready to order, but then disappeared for most of my visit. When she finally returned, she would ask me questions from halfway down the bar and quickly turn away before getting close enough to actually help. The service was terrible. When she finally brought my food, she practically dropped it in front of me and tried to hurry away. I had to call her back just to order a beer. I felt like I was more of a nuisance to the staff than a customer.

We have always enjoyed our visits here, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case tonight, especially on Mother's Day of all days. Our waitress seemed uninterested and acted like she had better things to do. When our food arrived, we mentioned that we were going to share the meal because we weren't very hungry. Typically, the waitstaff brings us an extra plate, but not her. After placing our food down, she walked away, and we had to call her back because we had no silverware. To make matters worse, the chicken cordon bleu was sliced so thin that grilling it made it tough and almost impossible to chew. I was embarrassed to even take it home, and I offered it to my dogs so it wouldn't go to waste. The chicken tortilla soup was barely warm as well. We've definitely had much better experiences here in the past.

We enjoy the family friendly atmosphere and the wide variety of food is always good. We have dinner there about once per month.
