Bidrage med feedbackThe Taproom is a true hidden gem—definitely worth a visit! Located at the east end of Mongoose Junction, we enjoyed a lovely evening on the small balcony while sampling a couple of local IPAs (Juicy Booty Hazy and Sky Flower). We also shared a Warm Bavarian Pretzel, which was a generous size and paired perfectly with the ice-cold IPAs. The service was friendly and laid-back, with no pressure to leave the table during dinner hours just because we were there for a couple of drinks. If you're visiting St. John, don't overlook the local beers—they're fantastic! We appreciate hoppy, flavorful beers, but not overly hoppy, and these were just right. While you can find STJ Brewers products all over the island, there's something special about enjoying them right at the source. Make sure to stop by The Taproom!
I ordered the BBQ pork nachos, and while the sauce had a nice flavor, it was so spicy that it actually burned my lower lip. I had requested extra veggies on top, but they were chopped so small that they got lost in the excessive sauce, which made all the chips extremely soggy. My dining partner’s cheeseburger was just okay. This place might be suitable for grabbing a beer, and maybe a burger, but I wouldn't recommend going beyond that.
We absolutely loved this place! Who knew rum root beer could be so amazing? The mule made with rum and their ginger beer was fantastic as well. I regret not getting the name of the wonderful woman who served us (perhaps Kim?), but she was incredibly attentive and took great care of us. She even recommended a nearby restaurant that turned out to be fantastic! We left with some shirts and rum to take home. Enjoy!
Kids wanted pizza for lunch but I wanted something relatively healthy so we checked out this place. Kids loved the pizzas, loaded with toppings. Wife had the margarita pizza which she enjoyed. I ordered the grilled fish tacos which were good. The service was great, especially for STJ. Plus they have a couple of video games and a photo booth to keep the kids busy as they prepare the food. The only reason for 4 stars is they charged me a dollar for hot sauce to put on the fish. Haha. They make it themselves but to charge for condiments is silly, especially when I bought a bottle of the sauce to go.
This was a great place for St. John's beer and dinner! My daughter joined me for this adventure. She had the root beer and said it was great! Along with the pizza pictured below! The staff was very nice, open and attentive! Was a great time and nice St. John brewing beer selection available! They also have a nice merchandise collection in the boutique downstairs for purchase as well! We will be back!
