Firehouse Restaurant & Lounge

Great place for some quality grub and an ice cold beer. Love stopping here after a long drive from down state and having a beer before settling in at our cabin.

So we had a party 8 doing a color tour. We walk in and the waitress warned us they have a sxs gig going on. We did not have a problem with it. With that being said. We got our drinks and appetizers. Then we waited while everyone around got there food ate and left. Multiple tables ate and left. We waited 2 hours to get out food. The waitress did not really seem to care. If she forgot to put in our meals, all she had to do was say it. It would have made a big difference difference. People make mistakes. But not telling us what's going on or group was not at all impressed.

We walked in about 7:00 on a Saturday night and got one of the last of two remaining booths. The waitress came over and told us it was going to at least 10 minutes before she could take our order and we said fine. About 10 minutes later we had our drinks and she was taking our order. We waited at least an hour and saw other tables coming after us and get served while we're still waiting on our food. We didn't order anything different, basically just burgers. When we askef when they were going to be done she very rudely went to the kitchen and came back and said eight more minutes. It was at this point that we raised the bells and demanded the manager. After no one came for at least 5 more minutes we just left. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Cool place to visit in St. Helen. One of the only places open late in town. Place is always packed. Decent food and prices. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

This review is based on other similar style restaurants/bars. My expectations were low when we came here. St Helen's does not have a lot of options for lunch and my friend said he had good experiences before. My friend insisted that the portobello fries were good and we ordered the appetizer and he was right! They were actually very good! The batter was light on them so I appreciated that as it did not make it too heavy. My hubby ordered just chili for lunch and he was surprised it had as much spicy kick to it as it did and that was a huge plus for him. I ordered a salad with seared tuna I forgot to get a picture of it but there was a decent amount of tuna. The salad itself was fresh and crisp with a good Asian dressing.
