Like other reviews complain, we encountered very unpleasant service here. The waitress even had a problem splitting the bill. It was the worst place ever on the entire TMB route. Service: 1

Spent nights in two different refuges and then in this auberge: not the most welcoming place. While the food is ok (local, fresh), it is the service & welcome that leaves a lot for improvement. As a hiker/randonneur will choose something else next time.

A group of us set out from Gruvaz, destination Bionnassay. Hike was relatively easy except for a few spots. The auberge was great and we took advantage of the gorgeous day to dine on the terrace which we had reserved in advance. Setting was very quaint. Food was good and the service fine. In short, we enjoyed ourselves a lot.
