La Rotisserie des Loges

We had an excellent Sunday lunch here, after a walk through the woods. Family and dog friendly, the meat was excellent (we tried the entrecote, lamb kebab and duck breastfeeding between us and all were great). Desserts were great too.

Under new ownership for the past year, the menu offers a nice selection of choices and the dinning area has been refreshed. Ideal for company meals and families. We have tried several of the grilled items on the menu, and all have been well prepared including the side dishes of vegetables and potatoes which are well seasoned. Great desserts prepared in their own kitchen. The new proprietor previously owned a restaurant in Versailles and is accustomed to and happy to have non French speaking clients.

Based on previous reviews, we almost didn't choose this restaurant but are so glad that we gave it a try. We needed somewhere for a family lunch 4 discerning adults and 4 hungry children on Easter Monday when so many places were closed. It was a great choice and really rather unusual, what with the large traditional rotisserie turning away over a log fire, cooking all the main courses, on full view. Clearly family run, the service was friendly and unpretentious. The food was also unpretentious a great combination of simple, almost rustic main courses (just off the rotisserie) and brasserie style starters and desserts. Delicious. We all left replete and delighted, having had enjoyed a super lunch. We'll definitely give it another whirl in the not too distant future.

A simple, unpretentious but effective kitchen! probably a little caloric but for a convivial moment with family or friends, it is a place I recommend!

We don't recommend at all. We booked for the Mother's Day and because we love the good roast poultry. We arrive at 1:15 and already more poultry! we ask if another menu formula is proposed? The answer is no! It's on the menu and not an effort to propose a menu with another meat. We're still waiting for 1h30 not served! When we ask if we are not forgotten, the waitress realizes that she had not placed our order in the kitchen and she did not remember what we ordered. It ensures that our dishes arrive quickly and we wait for 20 minutes to see the dishes accompanied by 3 green beans cooked with water and frozen peacock apples. Don't make a move to compensate us, not an offert coffee, so we won't come back.
