Advised by the tourist office, we went to dinner in this restaurant. beautiful room, very welcoming and attentive staff. The kitchen is excellent, we have enjoyed it from the beginning to the end. the menu is at a more than correct price (34€) for an irreproachable service worthy of a gourmet. Perfect.
My wife had the oysters to start followed by the maigre sauvage and it was all excellent. I however had the melon to start which was also excellent followed by a very dry coq au vin. The coq is clearly baked without the sauce as it is still very white inside as opposed to others that I have had that have clearly soaked slowly in a wine sauce and succulent and tender. For desert the rum babar was also dry with only a distant memory of any rum. The wine was lovely and one of their cheaper bottles at 40 euros but no complaints there. However at 175 euros for 2 people, I think the meal could have been better. Our visit 2 years ago was memorable for all the right reasons.
A good time spent in this restaurant, especially when you are placed in the middle of the small winery of the restaurant, refined dishes, patron and very caring staff especially for a person allergic to gluten, wines related to the reputation of St. Really the big class for this restaurant located in such a tourist place.
