Le Mountain - Saint-Bon-Tarentaise

We were 2 persons and had a decent dinner on Saturday evening. Ordered 2 glasses of champagne, bottle of water, 1 tuna tartar, 1 foie gras, 2 fondue savoyarde and 1 bottle of beaumont 05 wine (75€), also one moelleux chocolat and 2x espresso. Total bill was 125€ per person. Although the prices were not cheap, but reasonable by Courchevel 1850 standards, the food quality and service matching it was superb. We were really amazed to have such a friendly, but not overly friendly, service.Also we got small pumpkin soup and grappa as chef's complimentaries. All the food indeed was excellent.The only thing to complain would have been moderate views from restaurant window, although internally everything was looking very nice.

Меню за 100€ (на 5 € меньше, чем в двухзвёздочном!). Еда в основном жареная на сковородке, со вкусом горелого жира. В основной порции был неопределяемый горьковатый вкус, возможно, от переизбытка соли. В итоге вместе с мужем сражаемся с расстройством желудка... В прошлом году заказывали у них роклетт, было нормально, но очень просто. А цены как у больших.

Went for a meal for four got there 8.30 main meal turned up after being chased at 10.30. Minestrone soup was vegetable waterey and tasteless and no pasta, nobody following up for drinks . Main meal came . Don't order the chicken !! Tasteless and dry like a Kentucky left out for 24 hours , vegetable bits looked like same as soup but fried?? Nor should you order the fresh pasta with bolognaise sauce that never was! basically just mince meat boiled no sauce and some weird ravioli .. Very poor in quality and service . Manager is Italian , and arrogant , we asked to speak with him , made him aware of service issues . No excuse or apology, walked off and ignored us unbelievably, French staff apologies for the moronic manager , try at your peril !!

Lovely location and amazing venue, sadly the food was very average and it was over priced - along with the wine!!! We found it difficult to book but turned up on the night and we were the only party there and it closed after we left (9pm).
