La Brasserie - Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val

The Braz has had many owners over the years, changing hands regularly and unfortunately failing to find the winning formula, unlike many of its rivals. That said its a good place to go for a drink, to sit and watch the world go by and the free wi fi is a bonus, but I wouldn't bother eating here!

The waitress who served us could not have been more helpful and managed to communicate in a mix of French and English . The food was lovely and fresh quite simple but very well done and generous portions . The prawns were a highlight

Pop in for dinner . The food is cooked to order. Menu €20 had a good variety for all tastes. Had steaks , which tender and well cooked. Serve was pleasant.

Market day!!!, pouring with rain: Every café and bar packed. I found the "La Brasserie, as I was leaving town. The place was heaving, I asked about lunch, and was shown a small dining area at the back, where I enjoyed a vey pleasant meal. I found the place clean, the food was good and plentiful, and the staff were very helpful pleasant.

This bar has changed hands and is now Bar 1857. The food is excellent the service friendly and efficient and the vibes is great. Highly recommend a visit for good value no nonsense tasty food, good beer and a smile!
