It was simple and unpretentious and served the local ravioli which was delicious. Service was extremely friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
This had been a highlight in my memories of lunch in a wonderful setting with a delicious lunch of ravioli. On this particular day they were overbooked, with a large group. We were told we would have to wait, which we did, but finally were served ravioli which had been overheated, and was thoroughly dried out. The rest was similar, with canned salad dressing, etc. So much for good memories!
We went to Les Tentations for lunch while visiting the charming village of Saint Antoine. It was a bit late but they accommodated us inside. The dishes were all regional items and very tasty. I had the Gratin de ravioles with Saint Marcelin cheese and it was delightful and satisfying. We were full after the mains but let ourselves get tempted by dessert and all went for the Crème de Marrons ice cream. It wasn't just ice cream. It was a tall glass with ice cream, crème de marrons and whipped cream ... sooooo good! If you find yourself in Saint Antoine Les Tentations is a good place to have a satisfying meal.
This place is amazing. Not only the food and drinks are divine, the owner, Laurent, is a great host. After a tough days rock climbing, the beer went down well and the dinner is to die for. Ended the night with Chartreuse. Where else can you enjoy dinner in front of a lovely Abbey... =)
We go to this restaurant often and its always incredibly welcoming and excellent value. The food is consistently good with good size portions. Its open throughout the year, even in the depths of winter. If you go at lunch time the plat de jour is always really good as well.
