Shogun Japanese Steak & Sushi

A Place for Fun. This place is great to go for a fun time! I took my sister for her birthday, and we loved it. We went for lunch and spent under $20 for both of us. I think the experience would be best with a larger group, however. The food was good, too.

Surprisingly good which is rare in SoCo and priced reasonably.

My name is Mary Bradford, my husband and I love Shogun Japanese Steak House!! We go there 4 times a year and have never had a bad experience nor bad food. The sushi is fantastic and employees make you feel at home, the cooks are very entertaining and the prices are very reasonable. I give them a four star status. We are going for Valentines Day and have every year. We drive from Jefferson County just to dine at your restaurant. Thank you very much for your services and fantastic food. GREAT!. I've been here many times, and never had a bad meal. Although once I didn't eat at the grill, and there IS a difference in the food for sure (not a positive one, lol). But the food at the grill, and the sushi is ALWAYS fantastic!

Don 't Believe Everything You Read. I was excited to be going to Shogun for a birthday party but when I read the reviews my excitement turned to dismay. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The service was good and while we had a party of 13 the one waitress did a great job. The cooks were okay...but let 's face it...they are only as good as their audience. If we don 't encourage then they just cook. The food was really good and there was a LOT of it! One of the girls forgot to mention that she is highly allergic to shrimp and she was concerned that since her chicken was cooked with the shrimp she might have a reaction. Once we told the waitress the problem the manager (I think that is who it was) came out and took her food and replaced it with some chicken rice and veggies that were made in the kitchen. They were REALLY understanding and even apologized even though there was no way they could have known. When the staff came out and sang 'Happy Birthday ' and told the 16yr old SHY birthday girl that she would have to dance while they sang she did. It was just a fun time. Thanks for a LOT of good food and a great time.
