The Giving Pies - Sahibabad

I had the chance to try a few pastries from this place. The storefront is a bit small and we missed it the first time and had to circle around the block. We got a few mini pies, one was ube paste which I liked since it was not too sweet. The other flavors were raspberry, and peach and apple. These flavors had a crumble on top. The crust is a bit less brown than I prefer, but there were no soggy bottoms. The flavors were alright, and we heated up one to compare the flavors cool vs warm and for me it didn't make too much of a difference. In any case, it was a nice treat to have. I would like to try other options at this place; it's just pretty far out of my way. More of a 3.5 stars but for the efficient service I'm bumping it up to 4.

I've tried coming here a couple of times around noon to 1 (mind you they close at 5:30) and they're usually out of a lot of stuff. The one time I went early to make sure I got the pies I wanted the customer service was weird. I got there around 9 ish and there was a guy behind the counter. He just stared at me and continued cleaning behind the counter. I was waited a like few minutes or so since he was the only person I saw there and I didn't mind waiting a bit until he finished. After that I tried getting his attention but he didn't reply. Lady came out and jokingly told him we're open and he just kind of shrugged.In terms of the pies. In got pear almond, guava, mango, key lime. Guava wasn't good. Didn't really have any flavor. Pear I didn't eat until the next day. It was ok at best. Maybe if I ate it the same day. Mango was really basic. Not bad but not great. You can pretty much getting pies from Safeway or something. Personally, preference I do like my crust baked a little more to have a better texture. It wasn't like soggy but it was really soft. Again that's just a personal preference

First time trying this place. They were very friendly and answered my questions about eggless options. I tried the veggie goat cheese pie and it was heated and delicious. I got several other options as well and look forward to trying them as well. Definitely check this place out if you have a craving for pie. They have mini, medium and full sized pie options. Bonus is their Golden Gate Fog drink which is delish!!Interior is quaint and quiet.

They don't have ANY full sized pies as advertised on the website, very disappointing. Should have probably stayed at the farmers market.

Nice neighborhood spot with a wide variety of good pies. Variety of flavors, variety of sizes, and savory as well as sweet. They also serve other food items but I haven't tried anything besides some of the pies. They also serve coffee and other drinks.
