Khun Chai Thai Cuisine - Sahibabad

Only because I have to give one star — terrible. Ordered garlic prawns deep fried. They had the shell still on and then fried!!!! Chicken fried rice was mush. And zero taste. Most disgusting dinner we’ve had in a while. Don’t waste your money.

First two times it was pretty decent. But then last week, my husband and I decided we won't be going back. Service has been great, but dishes are bland. Maybe they changed cooks? We can't understand what went awry. We live in Almaden so always looking to support local businesses, but this one just didn't hit the mark.

If you can't be bothered to support small businesses, then you can't have nice things like a local Thai restaurant. I've had takeout here 3, 4 times already. I've tried their Green curry, Panang curry, Yellow curry, and Pad kee mao. The prep time took 10-15 minutes tops. The dishes are more than acceptable although I suggest ordering dishes a la carte as opposed to getting the lunch special with rice and salad. The portion sizes are generous and the location if you're from Almaden can't be beat, next to the Safeway. Yet there are two thriving Starbucks next door where people frequent. Try the small businesses too, please. Otherwise the businesses will keep cycling (there used to be a Lee's Village here)

Got to go on a Wednesday evening and the food was ready very fast. The photos are after we started digging in, but everyone really liked it. We got medium spice on the curry and the basil with chicken and I enjoyed each and every dish. Zero complaints although the pricing seems just a tad higher than other restaurants, but we will definitely be ordering from here again.

First time ordering. Placed an online order for 5:30 (the restaurant opens at 5), came to pick up and the doors are locked and it's dark inside. Tried calling nobody answered and there's no message. My credit card got charged for the order will call my bank to dispute this transaction.
