My husband and I had passed by this establishment a number of times and wondered about it. We enjoy jazz music and thought it may be a good place to check out. To our surprise, we will never return. We had stopped in only last night after a Sharks game. At first I asked about the business and how things are going and then I asked to use the restroom. The establishment was nearly busy at the time with few tables filled. So I asked if they were still open and could I use the bathroom. She said that I would need to be a paying customer so I said sure and looked at my husband and asked for him to purchase me a drink. I walked away and then towards the restroom. Low and behold she literally lunged in towards me and said only paying customers...only paying customers and I said I know my husband is buying me a drink! I am a fan of jazz music and thought we would stop in for a few....it was a nightmare. This waitress was so rude and blocked me as if we are on a football team against one another. In all of my growing up in Silicon Valley and San Jose and Bay Area I have literally never been treated in this fashion. I am still baffled.
Great Pho soup, spring rolls were meh, service was very slow (felt bad for the single overwhelmed server, poor guy was run ragged)
Tried going here twice. First they were closed at 7 pm which is when they switch from a restaurant to a lounge so they wanted to charge us a cover even though not a single person was there and no one was even playing music. They told us to come the next day so we did, and the venue was closed again for a wedding reception! Still haven't tasted the food here, but doubt that we will now that this happened.
Wonderful place for party and dancing.
