Bidrage med feedbackI haven 't been to Boston Market in a couple decades. I noticed this one is still open recently, so I decided since it 's near where I 'm going in San Jose today, I 'd have dinner here. Meatloaf! That spinach side I used to get! I was looking forward to it the whole ride over the hill.Well, the parking lot was empty. So was the restaurant. Doesn 't bode well.I approached the counter, and the gal led with "we only have turkey and chicken. "Ok...Not my bag. Bummer. I asked if I could use the restroom, then. "They 're out of service. "As was the drink machine.Looks like Boston Market will join the memories of restaurants past. Like Quiznos. Or Burger Chef.
If I could give less, I would. They barely had menu items, the fountain drinks were turned off. They only had chicken and turkey. I ordered chicken soup which came lukewarm and had a bone embedded that I almost swallowed. The veggies in it were still crunchy. The bathrooms were closed so no way to wash my hands. The table top was also not clean. Seems to be dying as a restaurant. Staff has a "I don 't care attitude.
Very rude staff, did bit want to do anything. Did not even smell like food. Need to close ASAP.
So it is my firm belief that this BM location is winding down and about to go out of business. My visit in Sept 2023 comports with previous reviews from 2023. During my visit the menu was almost completely blank, I was told by the counter help that they only have chicken and turkey available.I ordered chicken and the flavor was not even close to my many prior visits to this location. It tasted like they had walked across the parking lot and picked up a bunch of Lucky market deli chickens. They only had 4 basic side items, potatoes, corn, broccoli stuffing. I ordered the corn and broccoli and both were sub par even for BM standards. I ate some of every item but I did not finish any of them, just not good. In addition the corn muffin was half the normal thickness and very salty, inedible. The self-serve soda fountain only had 2 of 8 fountains working, Coke Power Ade. Lemonade Tea were also not available. They all have sold out stickers covering them which indicates they are not being restored anytime soon. As others mentioned, the restrooms are still out of order/closed. They are no longer serving food in the traditional BM black plastic plates with clear lids, but are instead using white foam clamshell containers.I asked the guy taking my order, who I 've seen working there for years, if the owners were winding down the store to close and he replied that they were just not investing money in the business, but was hopeful that they will soon. My bet is that they don 't make it past Thanksgiving.
Food with hearty portions and a staff that goes the extra mile – that's what makes this restaurant stand out. The dishes are a delight, and the portions ensure you leave with a satisfied appetite. The staff's warm and attentive attitude adds an extra layer of enjoyment.
