This hidden gem won't stay under the radar for long—especially with its healing green pozole and delectable cochinita pibil that hits all the right notes. The mole enchiladas could very well be the finest in Northern California, and anyone longing for the authentic flavors of Mexico City and East LA will certainly leave satisfied.
This restaurant is a fantastic discovery for anyone who enjoys tasty food at affordable prices. We tried the pasillo peppers stuffed with cheese, as well as the sea bass and shrimp, all topped with crema and guacamole—absolutely amazing! The empanadas and garlic shrimp were also excellent. They offer Sunday brunch and have a lovely patio, which we plan to explore during our next visit to Sacramento.
Vegetarian options: they offer both chicken and vegetarian tamales.
We came for brunch and let me tell you the chicken Mole the ceviche the eggs breakfast oh my Gosh!! THE BEST can't tell you how satisfied we are. THE TASTE CAN'T BE FOUND ANYWHERE ELSE HERE IN SAC to say the least.. We also had the opportunity to meet Martha the owner and she is just adorable!! If you want to eat like at home, in a cozy environment COME TO CASA TULUM!!!
VERY disappointed! My friend and I went Thursday for dinner and arrived around 5:15. No lights, door locked, no sign on the door explaining why they weren't open. We were REALLY looking forward to trying a new Mexican spot and enjoying the outdoor patio.
