China House - Saco

We have been going for many years and for us its the best food for low prices.

These guy's are generally right on...been going there since I was a kid. They must have changed chefs or something. Their crab Rangoon was awful and their egg roll was way over-spiced! Just being honest!

My family and I visited China House recently while traveling through Saco on our way home. We typically dine at Happy Dragon near our home, but decided to give China House a try. After ordering several dishes and returning home just 10 minutes later, we were disappointed to find that everything tasted the same. The food had a bland flavor, with no discernible difference between the beef fried rice, steak teriyaki, lo mein, and other dishes. Everything appeared greyish and lacked any distinct flavor. We will not be returning to China House again. Happy Dragon, you have our loyalty as satisfied customers. China House may have a nice building, but the food was disappointing.

I have eaten Chinese food all over the world Hong Kong, Korea, LA, NY, and points in between. The food here was simply awful it was barely warm, the hot and sour soup was gelatinous, and the fried rice was shocking. From what I could tell, the fried rice had been cooked with black bean paste, and the rest of the dishes, Moo Shui vegetables and the Schezuan Shrimp, all suffered from the same ailment. None of these dishes had a taste that could distinguish it from the other. We should have gone to Subway and saved our money.

I have been a loyal diner at China House in Saco, Maine for many years. Despite the 60-mile weekly journey, there is simply no other Chinese restaurant that can compare to its unique flavors and dishes. My family and I believe that the delicious food at China House makes the trip more than worth it!
