Bidrage med feedbackGreat food in nice and traditional setting. Absolutely recommended and nice, personal touch. Diverse menu, also sufficient choice for (small) children
Food was excellent very nice place to eat we had mixed grill and the steak ,chicken, and pork were very good
In the cellar underneath the hotel in Main Street of Hinterglemm ( the map location shown on tripadvisor is wrong). We ate here all 3 nights of our stay, great atmosphere, friendly staff in leather shorts and lovely little tables/ alcoves to sit in - recommend the plate of spare ribs too many to eat for one, also trout best I've tasted for a long time, and lovely local beef dish cooked in onion gravy all yummy and about €13. Go early packed out by 8pm. Enjoy....wish we were eating there tonight!
We visited here during our summer vacation in Austria. The restaurant and the menu are quite traditional and the decor is bright and airy. The waitress spoke English and was very helpful. We ordered mixed seasonal salad and French onion soup for starter, and Schnitzel and the traditional beef and onion dish for main. Both courses were straightforward, tasty and well seasoned. The service was well timed and we enjoyed our meal. The only problem we had was when we tried to pay by credit card and we were told they did not accept them. We offered for one of us to pop out and get cash but the waitress managed to get payment to be taken by the hotel reception.Overall a good experience and would recommend if you are looking for a pleasant meal out in Hinterglemm.
We were directed to this wonderful bar/restaurant after asking for a table at the hotel upstairs. They pointed us to this cellar room beneath the hotel explaining that the restaurant at the hotel is for residents only. And I am so glad they did. It's a wonderful place with small alcoves ideal for families or groups. You get excellent service, the menu has some fantastic choices - including a good selection of fish dishes. The bar/restaurant is no smoking from 17:30 to 21:30, which was ideal. We had four different dishes, all were superb. Nice house wine by the jug. Book to avoid disappointment. This place and the Heurigenstub'n (part of the Hotel Salzburg), which I have also reviewed, were, according to us, the two best restaurants in Hinterglemm during the week we stayed there.
