Urban Crave - S San Diego

Food was amazing. After reading reviews I'm glad I went with the breakfast French Toast. It was better than I expected and seasoned perfectly imo. There was only one waitress so it took her a little longer. But she was OK. Not as friendly but not rude. I think she was as eager to chat to me as other people (white). But overall I'll eat here again.

The place has good food...but the service is lacking. Peter was at the bar and would not take my order and wanted me to sit at a table with my son. I explained to him I did not want to and that we'd only be there for a few minutes. He started to take my order and then pointed be back to the table. I told him again I did not want to sit at a table and this continued for a full minute or two when I finally walked away as he refused to serve me. Walked across the pathway to Jetbox Market and got a burrito and drink...castle free! Advice is if someone's offering you for your service/product take it. Won't go back to this place on principle.

Ordered from the take out line walked right up placed an order for a bowl of soup and pretzels. I generally allow for error as I have been a service worker before. 3 people that ordered after me got their food. After 30 minutes I followed up and they told me just waiting on the soup. First of all…. It’s soup. You scoop it and serve it. No one is hand making this soup. Then 5 minutes later they ask me what I want instead of pretzels. We are now 40 minutes after I order and they are just telling me they don’t have it. While waiting another 10 minutes for the soup and chicken tenders they offered instead of a refund my wheelchair bound partner had to board without me. To top it all off she then spilled half of the soup in the bottom of the bag…. Tried to hide it and tried to send me on my way. After 40 minutes $40 and extreme frustration I left with a half an order of soup( it didn’t get replaced of course) and something I didn’t even order. Terrible for the only food option in the terminal. Insane.

The only restaurant post security in this part of the airport and 0 vegetarian options. The airport should consider replacing it

It's a busy airport the place was packed. Service was prompt, friendly, polite. Food came out fast, was pretty good 1 burger/fries), soda and draft beer $37- thanks in part to California laws) Kudos that they use compostible utensils and straws.
