Imperial Mandarin - S San Diego

We came in about a half hour before closing. We were going to do takeout but decided to stay. No flare place as far as ambiance. They saved all the flare for the food, because it was absolutely delicious!!! Extremely fresh, super large portions, well priced, even the egg drop soup was delicious. Our server may have been one of the owners. Super sweet and accommodating. We ordered a sweet n sour tofu that was not on the menu, no problem. I asked for an extra side of garlic because I'm a garlic freak, no problem! I will definitely be returning! I want to try allll the things

Cantonese Chinese restaurant so good! Dim sum ALL the time! Hot tea and fabulous dishes like lobster, and egg foo young. The beef chow fun is exactly what I grew up with in NYC. Again great food!

The service here is so rude to non-Chinese people. The two ladies serving everyone were so rude to multiple families the night we visited, while being so nice to the Chinese families. The food was good, but not worth it. It is mostly clean inside, but their smoking spot is right next to the kitchen door which was open so the smoke goes into the restaurant, so it smells like cigarettes. The parking here is an abomination.

Remember the old days before COVID-19? Well, this place is a good old-fashioned, wonderful Chinese restaurant. The prices are similar to the prices before COVID-19 too! The Flavors are what you expect from an authentic Chinese food supposed to taste like!

Been here several times, delicious dim sum at a reasonable price. Peking duck is very good too.
