Humble Bean Cafe - S San Diego

Stumbled upon this when in search of coffee. The lady wasn't the most approachable, didn't smile really. She recommended the Turkish coffee and it wasn't the greatest but I didn't say anything. She seemed bothered when I asked for 2 cups of ice water. The baked goods were not great. I found a piece of plastic like from a plastic fork in my cinnamon roll and my plastic fork didn't have any missing pieces. Will not return

Humble bean coffee is a hidden gem! Great coffee, delicious food, and Ismael was a pleasure to speak with. Super welcoming and hilarious.

This place is definitely humble. The burrito was good, the chai was good, the acai bowl was good. HOWEVER, we showed up after a run at the cove, hoping to have outdoor seating with our dogs. There is outdoor seating both in front of the establishment and directly across the parking lot. The seating outside the establishment are some high stools/table that is kind of cramped as it is on the side walk close to the parked cars. The three tables across on the parking lot were spacious enough for our group of 4, but there was a stench of urine that was so pungent, we weren 't able to enjoy the food. The coffee shop inside was clean, but small. Decor could use some help. It gave live.laugh.love vibes. There were two employess, one taking orders and one making all orders, which made the orders take ~10minutes.
