Bidrage med feedbackFound this little gem in Mira Mesa/Scripps Ranch area because I was looking for a cute brunch place around the area that wasn 't going to require a long wait time like Breakfast Republic. I 'm really glad that I ran into this place because it seems hidden and tucked away, but inside it graciously welcomes you with their open space and fresh plants. The person helping us (sadly don 't remember his name) was very helpful and since it was our first time, I asked what his recommendations were. He mentioned the breakfast all day burrito/tacos were always good and their pastries. My fiancé got the breakfast burrito and I got the Sandy Egg Sando! Our coffee of choice was a matcha latte and salted caramel coffee. What I really respect about this place is that they locally source and grow their own ingredients organically! They have vegan and gluten-free options, which is awesome to keep in mind because I used to be vegan. While waiting for our food, we decided to grab a seat outside on the picnic tables to enjoy the sun. What I noticed is that Juneshine is attached to the coffee shop. It 's a hard kombucha brewery from what I know. The egg sandwich was a bit small! It was pretty good, I think what made it better was the green salsa that came with it. I really liked my fiancé 's breakfast burrito though! That was hearty and the ingredients def tasted fresh; it doesn 't go unnoticed. I think what threw me off was when the blueberry strudel pastry was served, it was served cold. It would be nice if maybe it was warmed up before serving? Other than that, I know this place is still new so I understand; if you ever want to stop by, come for the ambiance and maybe a hard kombucha beer!
Cool little bakery/cafe in the middle of a business are. It 's also a shared space with Juneshine which is a hard kombucha brewery. Ambience is nice but not much seating. We sat a picnic table that was shared and it wasn 't too busy. Service was great but prices are pretty steep considering where it is but it 's definitely quality! So onto the food: Cobb Salad- generous portion, and just the right amount of everything. The blue cheese in it was better than average as well! Pho-king delicious sandwich-was excellent. Generous portion of grass fed beef that had just right amount of meat to fat ratio. The king trumpet mushrooms in it really complimented it as well. The pho broth dip went well together with the sandwich but I thought it was a little sweet but I just dipped less and problem solved. The burnt cinnamon croissant was very interesting. Not your typical croissant and had a dark colored flour which was a surprise. Great light flavor and the texture was crunchy on the outside and the inside was what I would say al dente for a croissant if that makes sense? Lol The coffee was good but did not impress me as much as the food. Over all everything was really good and I would definitely come back to try some more of the food options.
Very impressive place to have breakfast, I had a pastry named Sui and it was amazing! I think it is probably one of the top 5 pastries I've ever had. It's like a crunchy croissant break with full of berries inside. It's not that sweet and super delicious! My husbands egg sandwich was awesome too, he enjoyed it. Our coffee is nicely made as well. We will come back for their dinners.
Looks awesome but the food and drinks left much to be desired. My avo on my avo toast was far from ripe and you just can't serve up avocado like that. Whomever cut it up and put it on my bread knows that too.The service was excellent. They tried and I'll try again, maybe.
Love this concept and the vibe here is amazing too!, it's nice having the Cafe and Bar in the building at the same time, no matter what time you come it's great. Also love that all the food is local and sustainably sourced, and it's nice that the portions really match the price. This is how all restaurants should be!
