Bidrage med feedbackWow, I can't believe I've been in San Diego for almost four years and just stumbled upon Cody's in La Jolla! It was a lucky find while wandering around La Jolla after work on a Friday. What caught our attention was their daily happy hour from 4pm to 7pm (closing hour), so we decided to check it out.We were seated on their patio, which offered stunning ocean views, and to our delight, Elizabeth Bowersox was performing live that day. It created such a perfect ambiance, and we thoroughly enjoyed her music.Originally, we planned to just grab a few drinks before heading out for dinner, but we found ourselves so comfortable and relaxed that we ended up having an early dinner right there. We ordered some oysters, fish tacos, and the mini lobster rolls, which turned out to be the highlight of our meal! The bread was incredibly soft, and the lobster filling was just divine. It was honestly one of the most delicious things we've tasted. We're definitely planning to come back, and hopefully, we'll get to enjoy Elizabeth's music again next time. Cody's has definitely earned a spot on our list of favorite spots in La Jolla!
I did not like the gratuity added to check, before I decided what the gratuity would be
Food was expensively amazing but worth the cost. the atmosphere was well decorated but on the patio it is quiet tight but you get to see the beautiful view! server was fun and sweet but there were a few times where he would disappear and either the to go boxes, an unanswered question or request is not filled until awhile longer… i assumed because it got a bit busy and shrugged it off though. also the parking is awful and inside of the restaurant it is abnormally loud. fun perk though… they gave him some eggs in a dog bowl! how cute!
Breakfast was AMAZING! I had the French toast and my wife had the omelette. Both were fantastic, HIGHLY recommend the French toast. Geeesh. Gabriel provided exceptional service and attention to us. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free friendly!
It is good brunch, cute place, and good portions. I would say its expensive but everything with a bit of ocean view is. Bring a jacket because sometimes it gets windy and chilly. Other than that, attentive staff too; our waiters were bilingual so thats great.
