Always worth the visit, feels like I'm right back to Japan. Excellent food and customer service.

If you have ever lived in Japan and miss Coco's this place did not disappoint. Restaurant is small and has a 20-30 minute wait list but more than worth it !!!The flavors were on point and the service was pretty fast as well. This place will be the reason I come to San Diego.

I would rate a typical Coco Ichibanya in Japan a 7.5 out of 10. On that scale, the San Diego Coco would be about a 5. Decent portion. But beef in the curry is too hard and the pork Katsu is neither crunchy or tender. Go there if you need a katsukare fix. Otherwise, skip it.
