Courtyard Cafe - Ryedale

Good for half a day outside. the gardens are very beautiful, I liked the forest area with the small piramide in the middle. the house but not really my cup tee, there is not really so much to see, most places in the inner are unaccesable. I'm not going back there. this place would really benefit from a boat or kayak rental at the lake.

The restaurant's outdoor space, including the beautiful gardens and tables, was absolutely stunning. Even though the main house was closed during our visit, we were able to enjoy the nice weather and explore the area. It had been at least 40 years since I last visited Castle Howard, but I loved every minute of it.

Friendly service, fast to bring our order, excellent eating (my eier benedikt was raised,) very impressed the whole round.

Had a nice “light lunch” with friends before a walk through the gardens. we all had sandwiches different kind together with good old yorkshire tee. castle howard is a spectacular place to visit and the gardens, lakes and different buildings can keep them occupied for a whole day.

Enjoyed my meal, very tasty asparagus and wensleydale quiche. Staff were polite and service was good
