Ground Round - Rutland

I really miss this place now that I no longer live on the East Coast. I think it would be great if they opened a location in the Phoenix, Arizona area!

The food here is fantastic, especially the French onion soup! The prices are reasonable, and I often find that my meal can stretch to a second dinner. Our waitress, Diana, was exceptional, as she always is! Johnny and his team consistently provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and they’re always eager to support the community. This is my favorite spot in Rutland!

The food was fantastic and prepared just the way we asked. The sizzling beef tips and vegetables were simply perfect! The house salad was incredibly fresh and delicious. We’re so glad we decided to stop by again! Every time we visit, the experience is excellent from the moment we walk in until we leave. The staff is wonderful too!

During our stay at the Hampton Inn across the street, we were recommended your restaurant, especially since you were said to be open until 11 PM. We decided to sit in the lounge, and when the server/bartender approached us, the first thing she said was that the kitchen would be closing early that night and asked if we were ready to order so she could put it in. We found this surprising, especially since the sign clearly states you’re open until 11 PM and we had just arrived at 9:15 PM. Unfortunately, the management was nowhere to be found, as I always expect my management team to be out in the dining area engaging with guests. I just wanted to bring this to the attention of the owners regarding the bartender’s comments to customers. On a positive note, we did enjoy the selection of local beers you offer.

Service was not great, food was so and so. We're just passing by and made a bad decision stopping there. Place needs up keep or a remodel
