The Old White Hart - Rutland

The food at this restaurant was terrible, the meat was almost inedible with no taste. It felt like I would have been better off eating at a transport cafe. My steak was grey and tasted strange. The presentation was also terrible, but the service was good. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to eat here, which is a shame because the pub itself is lovely.

I stopped by this restaurant while passing through and initially found it to be impressive and welcoming. However, upon arrival, I was disappointed to find that the staff outnumbered the customers. It seemed that only locals were outside. I ended up paying over £17 for two drinks, which I found to be quite expensive. This high pricing may be one of the reasons why the restaurant was so quiet. I didn't have a chance to try the food, but based on the prices of the drinks, I imagine it would be expensive as well. While I understand that rural pubs need to make a living, there is no need to overcharge customers. It's a shame, as this pub could be thriving if it adjusted its pricing accordingly.

We had a fantastic lunch with delicious food at this restaurant. They were able to accommodate my food intolerances with no issue at all. The service was excellent and we will definitely be coming back in the future.

Lovely pub in quaint settings very friendly staff. However, food could be better. We ordered fish chips the lobster (although we thought the menu was very limited would have liked more variety The fish chips were ok but the lobster was extremely poor overcooked, very small (2 mouthfuls gone! very overpriced. Won't be eating here again disappointing as overall a lovely pub.
