Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen - Rutherford

I've been coming to these popeyes in east rutherford for years. the service was always great until he recently came under new management. two weeks in succession the car service was absurdly slow and the load was from several menu points. I was very rude. these popeyes just lost a long-term customer and I'm sure they lose more.

They say they are under new management. so unclean! I love coming to this place, but after I testify how dirty it looked during my last visit, I will not come back.

The manager is a piece of work with his employees, since he was really unprofessional to speak to them for a day. the workers there are absolutely phenomenal and hard workers. I called to report the manager a day later. I just went there and he's still working. I have no idea how he is still able to work on this popeyes after the showdown before the customers went a month ago, but overall the popeyes are here well.

This is the worst Popeyes I have ever been to! I ordered the spicy fish sandwich and it was not good at all. I have had it at two other Popeyes locations and it was deliciously spicy, but at this location, it was just gross. The sandwich was dry, old, and the oil it was cooked in seemed dirty and old. There was also no sauce on the sandwich. We also tried the corn side dish, but it tasted bitter. It seems like they need to clean their oil.

I live in MA and avoid Popeyes at all costs. However, I came to NJ and decided to give it another try. I saw they had macaroni and cheese, so I got a 5-piece tender and a large mac. The tenders were crispy and juicy, I get spicy with sweat heat. Now for the best part, the mac tasted like someone's grandmother was throwing down on a Sunday morning after church. I went back for it several times during my stay. The chicken is take or leave depending on the cook but the MAC is heavenly.
