Bidrage med feedbackI spent £18 on two curries and one rice takeaway for a birthday treat. One of the curries was a special and we were excited to try it as we have had great curries from this place in the past. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a huge disappointment. Both curries tasted the same, were mushy, and lacked flavor. I wished I had just made my own at home. Even a cook-in sauce would have been more flavorful. This restaurant used to offer good value and delicious food, but it seems that Ron has raised prices and lowered the quality at the same time. There is a better Indian restaurant/takeaway in the village connected to a pub, so we will be going there from now on. Overall, feeling ripped off and disappointed.
This restaurant has been a staple in the village for years, and we have always been satisfied with both the food and the exceptional service, even when getting takeout. We are pleased to continue supporting them.
We decided to visit this restaurant on a whim and brought a bottle of wine from the off license across the street, which was also reasonably priced. The service was excellent and the atmosphere felt cozy and familial. The owner, who also waited on us, was a kind gentleman with a lot of character. The food seemed to be made with care and attention to detail, and it tasted delicious. We ordered a feast consisting of 2 curries, rice, samosas, naan bread, and popadoms for just over £20. We couldn't finish everything, but we will definitely be returning in the future.
