Bidrage med feedbackBulrush is a hidden gem in Rush City, MN. When we arrived, we were greeted by a gravel parking lot and an unassuming building—definitely don't judge this place by appearances. Bulrush provides a wonderful experience at a great price. The golf carts, though a bit worn, had plenty of power and ample storage space. The layout of the course can be a bit confusing for first-timers, but it adds to the overall intrigue of the game. The driving range is a short drive from the clubhouse and is in good shape. The practice green behind the clubhouse is excellent and mirrors the quality of the course greens. While the tee boxes are functional, they could use some care; one in particular was mostly dirt. However, the real highlight of Bulrush is its fairways and greens. The course features winding fairways on rolling hills with some truly impressive greens. Bulrush has the potential to become a standout destination that many golf courses aspire to be.
Absolutely fantastic golf course! I wish we lived closer to it! During our fishing trip in Canada, we brought our clubs and discovered this course on GolfNow for around $25 per person for 18 holes with a cart. We were truly impressed by what it had to offer. The layout is challenging, featuring plenty of water hazards, narrow fairways, and fast greens. The course was in excellent condition, and I genuinely wish we didn’t live over 125 miles away; otherwise, I would be back in no time! I highly recommend stopping by to experience this course—you even receive a yardage/caddy book with your round.
They have a nice practice facility with a putting green that has some hills and breaks, and you can chip onto it. The driving range is a good size as well. The greens were in fantastic shape, and the fairways were clear of debris, providing great playing conditions. The staff was absolutely wonderful—they even allowed us to tee off early. The pace of play was excellent, especially with many singles on the course, so we let a few of them pass our group. Overall, I would rate it five stars for both quality and care. They also have their own bar, so you can grab a drink at the turn, and the cart girl usually carries mixed drinks for those who enjoy a drink during their round. Personally, I prefer to smoke while I play, but to each their own! Overall, I highly recommend playing this course; you won’t be disappointed! The Pro Shop is also pretty neat. This is truly a hidden gem in Rush City and likely one of the best courses in Minnesota!
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to play on courses by the freeway? If so, you can't miss Bulrush, which surprisingly looks fantastic and is well laid out. From the blue tees, it stretches 6,900 yards, requiring well-executed drives. The fairways were well-maintained in October, and the greens are spacious and challenging, so keep an eye on the pin placements. The clubhouse is straightforward, but I was pleasantly surprised to find they have two indoor simulators. However, I wasn't a fan of the layout for holes #9 and #10 as well as the driving range; they could be frustrating to navigate on foot, and the directions weren't very clear. I'm disappointed that I didn't play this course during the summer, but I will definitely make it a priority for next year! Give it a try!
I participated in a tournament here with my friends and had a great time. The course was in good condition and provided a lot of fun. However, the cart girl only accepted cash, which was a bit inconvenient. The driving range was quite a distance from the clubhouse, about a mile away. I appreciated the small practice green available before 1 PM; it allowed us to see when the previous group finished at the tee box, so we were ready to go. The layout of the course is unique, making it feel a bit unfamiliar for first-timers, but overall, I really enjoyed the experience.
