The Ansty - Rugby

Stopped off at the Ansty while doing a boat trip, the locals looked miserable that we had arrived the smell of dog in the place wasn’t a nice welcome, The place looked run down like it’s waiting to close down or something. The price was the only decent thing, No food on offer dispute it advertising food quite disappointed really, The Greyhound a little further up the canal is a much better stop off location, Will not be visiting again found it to be quite a rude and unwelcoming place. Not even going to mention the amount of pop all over the car park yes you read correct Poo.

We held a suprise 70th birthday meal today at the club. Gail, Sophie and the team were friendly and helpful from start to finish. The room was spotlessly clean and well layed out. We opted for the hot buffet catering option; the food was amazing. I would highly recommend the venue and their catering. Thank you to the whole team for your efforts today and for making our day memorable

Tribute night was good. Wasn’t full there but good atmosphere. Cheap for drinks. Friendly atmosphere very enjoyable night. Will be back for jersey boys later in year. Snuck into other room at end of night to play snooker on full size table.

The first time we visited after about 30 years of passing and saying We must try that one day. We should have gone in sooner. Incredibly friendly, comfortable and a good choice of drinks (the Speckled Hen was A1). The food particularly is worth going out of the way for. All freshly cooked in a terrific way with good quality ingredients. Superb! Whether you are passing on the canal, walking or driving past, you really have to visit. I am sure you will not be disappointed.

A warm welcome. Food was excellent. Staff very friendly. A thoroughly enjoyable evening. A visit is Strongly recommended.
