Bidrage med feedbackWe loved this restaurant so much we ate dinner here every night during our short stay in Rufino, there were just so many dishes we wanted to try. We visited at the height of porcini mushroom season and were not disappointed, nearly every dish we had contained them. One of our favourite dishes was carpaccio, the most pristine mushrooms thinly sliced with parmesan, lettuce, oil and lemon, amazing. We also had them in risotto, frittered in a light dry batter, grilled and with pasta and on pizza! We did have some dishes without them, bruschetta with tomato was simple and delicious and fillet steak with truffle and melting lardo was an amazing marriage of flavours. This is Italian food at it’s best, using the freshest seasonal ingredients cooked really well, the house red and white wine are excellent too as you would expect from a wine region. It’s terrific value too with most of our meals totalling around €50 for two with wine, it understandably gets incredibly busy so best to book ahead. For my last nights meal I tried one of their pizzas and I have to say it has to be one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had, wafer thin and crispy with tomato sauce, cheese and porcini mushroom, our favourite restaurant in Rufina.
We dined at il Ritrovo twice in a week in a large group we probably had every dish on the menu and all were excellently prepared: Pizza, Steak, homemade truffle pasta and so forth. The service is very friendly and attentive and the place including pricing is family friendly. We will definitely be back!
We recently dined here for the first time and it will not be our last. Located on the main square in Rufina, about an hour east from Florence, this lively ristorante had an extensive menu and everything we tasted was delicious. The special pasta of the day was garganelli with rabbit and black truffle...it was our favorite dish during our entire trip. The tagliolini with black truffle was also enjoyable. The pizza was amazing...the restaurant was able to somehow achieve a thin crust that was both chewy and crisp, with a tangy tomato sauce and quality toppings. It was probably the best pizza we have had in a long time. Panna cotta for dessert was a nice option, perfectly creamy and not overly sweet, served with a choice of wild berries or chocolate. Staff was well informed and friendly. Thank you for a lovely meal.
Pizza taken for two birthdays in different days. same quality. really good, generous of seasonings and especially not heavy on the stomach.
