A nicely situated café with seating inside and out. Friendly and helpful staff who looked after us with a smile.

We stepped off the cable car and just walked a short distance for a coffee and cake. All fairly standard fare, cakes etc, but friendly and prompt service. Toilets OK too I believe.

We stopped off for coffee as we needed the toilet, only to find once we had ordered, that they didnt actually have one and then found that it was very expensive coffee compared to other cafes. The coffee was nice, but the cafe was fairly average and not sure why they charge 1.50€ more for a Rudesheim coffee than up the road they're all made the same with the same amount of Asbach, and 1€ more for a standard coffee than over the road. Oh and then add 50 cents each to use the loo up the road.

We have used this cafe a number of times over the years and always had excellent service but our latest visit, with friends, was very disappointing. Our friend's coffees arrived long before my husband's and mine. My husband asked for an apple slice and to avoid any confusion pointed to it at the counter when ordering. He ended up with apple strudel and when he pointed out the mistake he was totally ignored. My Rudesheimer coffee, when it finally arrived, could have been a lot warmer as I watched it sitting on the counter going cold while the waitress attended to other customers. There are plenty of other cafes in Rudesheim and I'll let you know how I get on.

Une premier diner s'est bien passé. Installé sur belle une terrasse, nous apprécions nos plats et les portions très généreuses.Un deuxième essai le lendemain n'a pas été concluant. Après avoir passé commande, un quart d'heure après on nous annonce une attente d'au moins une heure car la cuisine qui alimente un deuxième restaurant est débordée ! On nous laisse le choix, attendre ou quitter. Nous choisissons de manger dans un autre restaurant. Dommage !
