Bidrage med feedbackRožnov brewery from 5 The walls of the brewery could tell a story. After all, some are also built from the local castle from the 14th century. The Rožnovský brewery was originally manorial. It was built in 1712 by Karel Jindřich from Žerotín, the owner of the estate. Over time, it was owned by the Kinský, Furstengerg, Popper, Guttmann and Rothschild families. The year is 1908, when the brewer Albert Málek buys the brewery from Baron Rothschild. He graduated from a brewing and malting school in Vienna, then started working at the Želetav Brewery, where he fell in love with the daughter of the owner, Countess Anna Camel. From her dowry, she bought the Rožnovský brewery for her husband from Count Rothschild. The brewery began to flourish, in particular it began to export its stout beer to the imperial court. The year 1948 ended the expansion of the brewery. The brewery was nationalized and handed over to the national administration of the Přerov Brewery, which, however, immediately stopped production and took the new technology, including the barrels, to itself. The brewery became an orphan after 236 years. Fortunately, due to the size of the area, lemonades began to be bottled here, and a warehouse for vegetables and seeds was built here. In 1994, the derelict site was returned to the original owners. The great-great-grandson of the owners, together with a partner, reopened the brewery yard in 2009 after 61 long years thanks to an EU grant. The food is good, the beer is great, nice premises, they also take cards. But unfortunately that's where the positives end. The wait for food and drink is really long. What's worse, the staff is, to put it mildly, untrained. On our second visit, we ordered the knee and chicken strip salad. I got the knee in about 10 minutes, we waited another 40 for the salad. The knee was eaten, but the salad is still nowhere to be found. The young lady first explained that they had two kitchens (not that I was interested in such an excuse), then when she walked past us, she just made a fleeting glance and walked around us. I ordered a second beer after the salad for the extra woman finally arrived. I waited 20 minutes and nothing. After that I told a lady that I didn't want him anymore and that we would pay. Another one came in 5 minutes carrying the beer. No one even bothered to apologize. So in summary: Beer delivery slow, food delivery (and synchronization for all diners at once) tragic, the waiter reaches over the other guests with the food, the crew does not communicate with each other and moves chaotically around the set, communication with guests also tragic. Overall, the desperate level of service brings the establishment down, but unfortunately, most of the guests look like they are there for the first time, so the management doesn't care. I don't understand the uncritically positive praise here. There are better businesses in Rožnov as well, unless those people don't go to them. Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere - all 5 out of 5 stars.
We visited the Pivovarská humna garden. Unfortunately, we had to wait an hour for our food and the Coca Cola we ordered was warm. The table next to us received their food before us even though we had placed our order earlier. The waitstaff seemed more interested in socializing at the bar rather than attending to guests. However, the standout was the lady serving us, who was able to find parking on the street. Overall, we rated the food a 4, service a 2, and atmosphere a 3.
