Mcdonald's - Royal Oak

The staff often appear to be enjoying themselves, which is fine, but it seems to distract them from their work, as we frequently receive orders with at least one mistake. The service is neither fast nor accurate, and the food quality is questionable at best. This is typical for McDonald's, but it feels like there's just a bit less care taken with the meals here. On the bright side, the location is great, resulting in a steady flow of customers and good business, even with the inconsistencies and subpar service.

Terrible experience. The staff is unfriendly, and my partner and I have noticed that we often get shorted on our ice cream whenever we visit. On our latest trip, the ice cream didn't even reach the top of the cup. We asked for extra fudge, but there was hardly even the standard amount. To be honest, we'd prefer to drive to 13 Mile, even though this location is closer to us.

I placed an order for a single cheeseburger, medium fries, and a small drink for dining in. The girl behind the counter seemed a bit absent-minded, and I ended up receiving a meal with two cheeseburgers, a small fry, and a medium drink—all in a bag. I didn’t speak up, even though it was more expensive than what I intended. I could have saved a lot by sticking to the dollar menu. When I took my meal outside, I found my fries to be comically cold, so I went back in to let the girl know. She acknowledged me but then went off to deliver food to someone in the dining area, which seemed odd since I thought they typically wouldn’t do that. A man behind the counter approached, and I told him about the cold fries. He took them away, and I noticed he wasn’t wearing gloves—his thumbnail was notably long and unkempt. In fact, no one behind the counter was wearing gloves at all. About three minutes later, he returned with a fresh batch of fries. However, when he handed them to me, his thumb was halfway inside the fry container instead of holding it from the outside. I said nothing and took my food outside, where I placed everything back in the bag, grabbed my drink, and decided to leave it there. I understand that fast food isn’t known for its cleanliness, but that shouldn’t be the standard. Plus, fast food has become increasingly expensive, which makes it even more frustrating. I almost called to voice my concerns, but I figured one of them was likely the manager, so I didn’t bother. I really don’t recommend this location. It’s not about being rude—it’s about basic hygiene. Everyone is touching everything, including money, and it’s just gross!

I walked in right behind an employee, the employee locked eyes with me and instead of being friendly and holding the door or speaking to me, she kept walking and made sure the door closed behind her

They shorted me a quarter pounder deluxe with cheese! They never offered my receipt because I paid cash probably and then they asked me to pull up to the rail. She brought the order out and dropped it in a flash...didn't even have a second to check my order. Get home! Guess what! I'm missing items! They never pick up the phone!! Trash!
