Chipotle Mexican Grill - Royal Oak

This Chipotle location is easily one of the worst in the franchise. During my most recent visit, they were out of both corn salsa and chips. Yes, a Chipotle restaurant that ran out of chips! The staff seemed indifferent and uninterested in helping. The restaurant was in disarray, with broken signage and a messy, dirty atmosphere. Dishes were piling up at the front line, adding to the chaos.

My husband and I used to visit this restaurant about twice a month. Tonight, my husband went inside to order his food and witnessed the staff bring out a fresh tray of cooked chicken, only to be told that they wouldn't serve him any because it was reserved for online orders only. This is not what we expect from a buffet-style grill where customers typically choose their own ingredients for their meal. My husband had to wait in line, after driving 20 minutes from home and passing up other dining options, only to be denied the meat that was on display. We will not be returning to this location, and likely not to any others as well.
