Chappie's Good Food - Roxbury

By far one of the best burgers, the aioli is a perfect addition. The pizza's are also incredible, and they have nightly specials so don't forget to ask. We love Mike the chef, not only does he make great food, he also helped us out one night when we got a flat outside the restaurant. This place treats their guests like family, totally worth checking out!

Got seated outside and received our menus relatively quickly. Then waited close to an hour for our food. They ran out of onion soup and said the chef just made a fresh vegetable soup. It was obviously thrown together last minute with maybe a bit of broth and whatever vegetables they had leftover. Very watered down. We also had the smoked trout and chicken wings. That was good. Had fun talking to the other people outside but they are seriously understaffed. Not many choices to eat in that area. I agree with the previous review and would pick up food at farm stand or supermarket next time.

This restaurant and its sister restaurant the Old Mill are understaffed and it shows with long waits and stressed out workers. The owners should be present at these restaurants to make sure things run smoothly and efficiently. The food was OK but the experience was horrible at both restaurants. Next time I would get food at the many delis and markets scattered around the Catskills and skip these places.

We ate here in November 2020 while staying up the street at The Roxbury and loved it. The smoked trout was to die for! We were up in the area again so took a $35 Uber to dine there once again. What a huge disappointment. They were out of the trout. I asked for a Pinot Grigio..out. Could I have a French martini...no chambord or pineapple juice. Woman next to us asked for a cider...out. We ended up getting wings which were thin and not hot. Also got a signature pizza which was not hot and very sparse on the cheese. I recommend calling them to see actually what they have on their menu before deciding to dine there. We won't be back. And I'm only giving it 2 stars because our waitress was very nice.

Casual Neighborhood restaurant with a friendly vibe and a solid menu. We had local beers, wings and salads for lunch and were happy with our selections. You can sit inside or out on the porch with downtown views.
