Portobello Pizza & Pasta Restaurant

Friends booked for a group of us but when we got there they didn't have a table ready. They had obviously given it to someone else hoping they would be gone when we arrived. We were absolutely squashed in and couldn't even get out to go to the bathroom. Food average. Won't be back.

Good pizzas if you are prepared to wait an eternity for them. Staff seem to wander aimlessly and achieve nothing not even cooking your food. Servings when you get them are huge and tasty. Pricing is reasonable. Ideal for a pizza but remember the wait.

I had the pleasure of being taken here to celebrate my birthday. It is BYO ( wine & beer ) Authentic Italian Cuisine. We had bruchetta and shared 2 pizzas and a risotto all of which were fantastic. Staff are friendly and serve with a smile.

We were greeted as we entered the Restaurant and taken to our table. Great service from the older lady, who described exactly what was in the meal I was wanting to order. The meals were delicious and hot, 2 pizzas and 2 pasta dishes. Very filling. The young man making pizzas looked very busy but professional. The young lady behind the counter could help the older lady, a little more on the floor. The water could be a little colder, but very happy with our dinner out. Recommended.

So my wife and I and our 6 month old walk in with my brother and he's just pregnant wife. We get our seats assigned and sit down. We have been here before so we knew what to order. But before our menu's were brought to us there were other people sat down and menus taken to them. We had a simple order. Garlic bread for entree. For main we had 2 gnocchi and a margarita and vegetarian Pizza. Our order was taken however before our drinks where brought there were other people served that came after us. We sat there for well over 30 min for our garlic bread (which was really tasty). As we sat there for over an hour watching people that came after us being served. We decided to leave. We asked management how much we owed for our drinks and garlic bread and politely complained about our food being so late. To this we had a nasty reply "if you knew anything about Italian food you would know it takes a long time to cook". I do know about Italian food and I'm sure it does not take over an hour to make a margarita. I was told the food is all on the stove and would be ready in 2 minutes. This was a lie as the gnocchi were not even boiled yet (kitchen door opened and we saw) Also the margarita was not even in the oven well.over an hour after the order has been taken. The management was quite insulting at our displeasure and not happy at all for us leaving. I did offer to pay for the food even though it never came out. We have been here in the past and the service has allways been slow. Considering there were only 3 adults and 2 children in the restaurant beside us the service was appalling. This is a shame as the food that eventually comes out tastes great
