Today we decided to visit this restaurant for lunch and were really glad that we discovered it. Inside the restaurant is not big but the tables were arranged with good space in-between. The palace was busy when we arrived but we were able to find seating right the way. That being said, the place can get busy very quickly due to the limited seats. At first, I was a little concerned about the service as we had to wait for more than 5 minutes for someone to bring us the menu, but once we placed the order, the time that it took for food to come out was very short, which I thought was great. Most importantly, the food tasted fantastic; the Camelia plate that I ordered was so flavorful that it blew me away; chicken enchiladas and Tampiqueña plate were also fabulous. There 's no doubt that we will be revisiting this restaurant in the near future.
Nice mom pop place. It 's a basic restaurant with no fluff. Reminds me a lot of the places I frequented as a kid back home. The food is authentic Mexican. This is NOT tex-mex. While the food is good, the one thing I absolutely love at this place is their salsa verde. It is legit, homemade stuff.I recommend this joint.
I love the folks at this restaurant. They are very friendly and sweet.Vegetarian options: Good veggie options
Amazing food, reliable friendly staff service. Pricing is very reasonable and the variety of options makes it hard to choose just one favorite, but I can't leave without a Camelia Plate and a Fresa or Sandia popsicle. ?
I eat at Chapala almost once per week at this point. The service is always consistently flavorful. My favorite is the carne guisada. On a few occasions they have had a table set for me when I walk in. The young ladies who run the front are very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!Food: 5/5
