Hightide Bistro at Pine Beach Hotel

You don't have too high expectations of 'pub bistros', usuallya reasonable amount but often the vegetable have been brewing for a while. WELL what a pleasant surprise the Pine Beach Hotel Bistro at Emu Park was. The food was fantastic to say the least. If you are in to oysters, they have 'shooters', a huge pacific oyster served in a **** Mary mix in a shooter glass for $2.50! My dessert of chocolate sauce pudding was divine. Will be back.

We frankly didn't expect much at the Pine Beach Hotel, but as very little else was open for dinner at Emu Park, it would have to do. The bistro here is amazing! Great meals, very tasty, plus themed nights made it very enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and efficient and we didn't have to wait too long for our meals. All in all, after our first visit, we saw no need of going elsewhere. One thing to note, bookings are recommended. On one night, the dining area was fully booked and they had to place us in another part of the hotel. If you are going to be staying in Emu Park overnight and are looking for a great feed, the Hightide Bistro at the Pine Beach Hotel is definitely recommended.

Lovely country pub & atmosphere. Decent size meals. Dessert took a little while to come & when it did the sticky date was cold, take longer than it should have to be reheated.

Ordered the cob and dip trios, arrived with toast strips which were extremely dry, 1/2 dozen oysters for husband which were fantastic, main meal i ordered a plate of chips and salad with gravy on the side, a bowl of chips arrived before anything, told waitress my order again, 10 minutes later bought out a tiny dish (raminkin size) of lettuce, 2 slices of cucumber, 2 x 1/8 of a tomato, bland, small and boring and paid $6+ for, still didnt get my gravy so asked again, Husband had crumbed fish which was still raw, $53 for a really bad lunch, also sister in laws battered fish was raw with uncooked batter,

We love coming here for a meal !! Great prices friendly staff & of course amazing fresh homestlye food that is always yummy!!!
