The Cross Inn - Rother

We were unfortunately denied entry to Battle Abbey, the location of the historic Battle of Hastings. The site had been transformed into a monastery before being taken over by King Henry VIII.

My experience at The Cross Inn was delightful. The food was delicious and the staff were very accommodating. Although there was a slight mix-up with my reservation that I made through Open Table, they were able to find us a table and we were still able to enjoy our meal.
