Bidrage med feedbackThis charming restaurant is hidden in the countryside of the Hunter Valley. It was our first time visiting and we had a delightful conversation with Luigi, the owner. The food was excellent - we started with the delicious mushroom prosciutto pizza and then enjoyed tasty pastas. A lovely bottle of Cannonau and the beautiful view of their vineyards made for a very enjoyable evening. Definitely worth a visit.
I have always had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. The food is consistently delicious, the service is top-notch, and the view is beautiful. There are always new options on the specials menu each week. You can dine in the restaurant or take away pizza. My go-to dish is the Gorgonzola gnocchi with a pear and rocket salad on the side, along with garlic and herb flatbread to start. I highly recommend this place if you're in the Hunter region, as it's always a good sign when it's popular with locals. It's also great for kids, with pizza options and smaller portions available. There is outdoor space to explore and the staff is friendly.
I recently celebrated a special occasion at Lillino's and had a wonderful experience! The atmosphere of the restaurant is truly unique, although it would have been even better to visit during the summer when the weather is warmer and the sun sets later. The restaurant's secluded location adds to its charm. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by two adorable dog doormen and the friendly staff. The interior of the restaurant is simple yet thoughtful, creating a memorable ambiance, especially with the high curved ceiling. The food was incredibly delicious, with perfectly portioned servings. Each dish was bursting with flavor, and you could tell that a lot of dedication went into preparing them. The rolled pork belly was a standout dish that I highly recommend. As an added bonus, we were treated to the owner's impressive vocal talents as he serenaded the diners. Despite the long drive from Sydney, dining at this restaurant was definitely worth it.
I went there with my wife for dinner. We ordered Luigi's Luigine each, and they were really good. The service was great and the waitress was very friendly. It is a nice spot as well, and they have very cute dogs at the entrance.Recommended!
LOVE! Went for a belated Mother's Day lunch and basically ate though the menu.<br/ <br/ Started with bruschetta (served on thin pizza base, not bread so it was nice and light and anti pasti. We then moved on to the special eggplant (yum and scallops wrapped in prosciutto (so tasty ! The crumbed calamari was also great not too oily or greasy, nice light batter.<br/ <br/ We were there for a long lunch so next was a course of pasta all home made! Ravioli (probably the least favourite good pasta, tasty but not very strong flavours , gnocchi was awesome great balance, and the tagliatelle veal ragu was amazing!<br/ <br/ Next up was suckling pig and slow roasted lamb melt in your mouth. So good!! Both served with roast potato, green beans and cabbage. <br/ <br/ We finished off with the traditional pastry desert which was surprisingly light, and the best tiramisu ever!<br/ <br/ Portion sizes were generous, and service was great! Nice local wine list. Lovely view, would be nice to sit outside on a sunny day. Would be nice and cosy if the fireplace had a real fire in it (instead of an orange light! .<br/ <br/ Highly recommend!
