Thumbs Up Diner - Roswell

My partner and I have been searching for a good breakfast spot, so we decided to give this place a shot. I ordered the chicken and waffles, while my partner got the Cream Cheese Special. Both dishes were decent, but nothing extraordinary. I don't think I'll be returning for a special breakfast outing. The service was efficient and friendly, but the food was just okay. That's why I gave it 4 stars.

This breakfast spot is more affordable compared to other options in the area. A meal for two traditionally costs less than $30, including a 20% tip. The breakfast and lunch offerings are tasty and the portion sizes are generous. If you order the catfish, be prepared for a large serving. The staff is polite, friendly, and attentive. The outdoor seating area is simple yet enjoyable, with fans and rain covers provided. Waiting times are usually short, with wait times not exceeding 15 minutes. However, there are occasional closures of the outdoor seating area. It is recommended to call ahead to check if the patio is open before going. The indoor seating area can feel crowded at times.

I visited this restaurant for the first time a few weekends ago. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. I particularly enjoyed the Fried Catfish, Eggs, and Grits. I will definitely be returning in the future.

I love Thumbs Up! Unfortunately, they had no smoked chicken wings because of the pandemic. My husband took me there for the 72th birthday because I love the smoked chicken wings. The ride was an hour. I enjoy the breakfast I ordered. French toast are so delicious and the chicken sausage

Pros: cheaper than other breakfast places. Breakfast for two consistently comes under $30 after a 20% tip. Breakfast and lunch are delicious. Portions are generous. (If you get the cats, be ready to throw because the thing is huge. The staff is well maintained, friendly and attentive. External seats are simple but pleasant. They also have fans on the terrace and raincovers. Never had a waiting time for more than 15 minutes! Cons: Occasionally, the outdoor seating area is closed. You can call to ask if the terrace is open before you go there, though. The seating area is tight.
