Chen's Family Dish - Roseburg

Since Asian Garden on Diamond Lake Blvd closed this has been our go to Chinese restaurant in Roseburg. The food and service are great and they know how to accommodate you if you're vegan. Traveling from Canyonville so we don't just eat here on a lark, in this region it's the best.

It's not impressive. My family keeps dragging me back. Fried rice has nothing extra, flavorless, and un impressive. Literal white rice. Tried sweet and sour soup, way too much corn starch slurry, and so strange, get the corn flavored egg droo slurry instead. Sweet and sour pork dry and overbreaded, over 50% breading. Mar far chicken similar and greasy. They will crank out your party on a Friday, though.

The tofu kung pao was delicious and fresh. only the correct amount of spicy. also the egg foo yung was made fresh and had a delicious engraving above the top. great place for fresh food and great atmosphere.

Probably best Chinese cuisine in the city. the moo goo gai pan was excellently tasteful, hearty and full of sweet. her general Tso’s was also surprisingly delicious and perfectly prepared, flavored and cooked; the bread-to-heat ratio was before place. the rice was dry.

The food is really really good. The food was so hot I had to blow on it. The shrimp fried rice was loaded with shrimp. Mongolian beef was amazing. The meat to vegetable ratio was on point. You know how some places give you more veggies than meat? Not this place. A good amount of veggies, but alot of meat. Perfect veggie to meat ratio. The general Tso's chicken was amazing. Perfectly crisp. Soooooo good. That's what my grandpa ordered. I stole a few pieces from his plate. Hehe. My sprite was extra crispy. Best Chinese food I've had since I've lived in Douglas County. They also have very friendly service. And to put the cherry on top. They're are very reasonably priced. Great place. Keep up the great work! You get 6 stars from me.
